School meals are served on the premises, by Nourish Contract Catering (formerly known as the Children’s Dining Company). There is always a choice of meal, menus are sent home termly, (copies are always available) and displayed in the school.

Alternatively, children may choose to bring a healthy packed lunch to school. This should be in a named container, and should not contain drinks in cans, glass bottles, sweets or bars of chocolate.

 

Payment for school meals should be made weekly in advance on the first school day of the week. Please pay online if at all possible, else place the money in an envelope marked with your child’s name and class. Payment may be made half-termly in advance preferably by cheque (payable to Nourish Catering). 

 

Parents in receipt of Family Income Support may be entitled to free school meals. Application is simple via the KCC website:

The price for the 2023/24 school year is £2.73 per day (Years 3-6). Under current government policy (since September 2014) all pupils in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 may have a meal provided free.
