Reasons for absence should be notified to the school daily in writing or by telephone. This is essential to avoid the absence being recorded as unauthorised, i.e. an absence for which no reason or explanation was given to the school.

 

In line with guidance from the DfE, holidays in term time will not be authorised due to the negative impact it has on children's learning. Holiday forms must be completed and returned to the school office before the absence takes place so that work can be set.
