Breakfast and After School Clubs

Long Mead offers a breakfast club which is operated by our school staff solely for pupils from the school.

The hours are 8am until 8.40am each day

Children are provided with breakfast such as cereals, crumpets, muffins, pancakes, toast, and fruit juice, and then have the opportunity to play various games or take part in craft activities before the start of school.

We do make a charge for this which is currently £1.50 per day, those eligible for Free School Meals can be offered free place.

Places are limited but we are generally able to accommodate all those that wish to have a place and can offer some one off places if a chid care need arises expectantly.

Please contact the school office who can provide you with the necessary forms if you would like your child to attend.

After School Childcare

We are aware that after school childcare is a concern for some of our working parents. Therefore, we have been in discussion with Rainbow Out of School Club, which takes place nearby at Cage Green School, about the possibility of Long Mead children being able to attend as well.
They would be delighted to offer this opportunity from September 2018 if enough parents are interested.
We would take your children in our minibus at 3-15 to Cage Green for a 3-20 start. We will not make a charge for this transport. You would then collect your child from the after school club at Cage Green School.
The after school club runs until 6pm on Monday to Thursday and 5-30pm on a Friday. The cost is currently £9 per session per child although they do provide a shorter time at a reduced cost. They are flexible as to which nights your child would attend.
You would enter into a contract with, and make all payments to, the Rainbow Out of School Club
